About Us

Welcome to the home of the University of Sheffield's Ultimate Frisbee team! We're a friendly, dedicated group that train three or four times a week and compete in beginner, regional and national university tournaments. We have undergraduate, masters and even phd students playing for us and organise regular socials and nights out in Sheffield. Whether you're a GB junior or have never thrown a disc in your life, come along to a training session during freshers' week and have a game with us! We're always looking for new talent and love introducing people to the best sport there is.

What is Ultimate?

Ultimate is a self-refereed, limited-contact team sport played with a 175g flying disc. The object of the game is to score points by passing the disc to a player in the opposing end zone, similar to an end zone in American football or rugby. Players may not run while holding the disc. Have a look at the faq page if you want to find out more!

Our team compete in 5-a-side indoor and 7-a-side outdoor tournaments in open, mixed and women's divisions throughout the year (and, if you're lucky, a beach tournament on tour).

Our Social Secs organise regular nights out at BarOne and ROAR as well as trips to do stuff like laser quest and ice skating. There'll be loads going on during freshers' week so if you're new come out with us and get to know everyone!

The whole team gets on really well which makes for fun training sessions and great nights out. To stay in the loop with what's going on join our Facebook group.
